This was a multi-phase project that included the construction of a municipal solid waste cell with a 1.2-meter clay liner and berm excavation alongside the installation of a leachate collection system made up of geotextile cover over the clay liner, tire shred for drainage, piping system and discharge infrastructure.

Phase two saw to the construction of the west half of an industrial waste cell with the construction of clay caps in Areas 1 and 2 of the landfill, upgrading berms and the building of haul roads.
